Hi, my name is Roy Troyer. I grew up Amish, in Holmes county, Ohio in a family of 11 children. I live in Holmes county once again and have a little family of my own.

Lacking television growing up, I spent many hours reading books. I had, and still have, a great desire to learn new things—especially how life works. But it all remained a mystery to me until I received the Holy Spirit at 19. Before this, darkness and confusion reigned in my life. I struggled mentally and emotionally. Drugs and drinking consumed me.

But after receiving Christ into my life—and a little later, being baptized in the Holy Spirit—light shone into my life, and darkness crept back. The Spirit of God illuminated more and more. I began to understand some of God’s design. I also had victories in my life that I never imagined were attainable. This is an ongoing process, and I give God all the glory.

My aim on this site is to blog about these little nuggets God has given me, and share them with those who are interested. I hope I can be an inspiration to some. To shine a light in this dark world as God enables me.
